Inside the Monster
By Anwar Lahnin
Today marks the start of a new chapter in this newsletter. It will be every week: I’ll tell you about my experiences with a critical, more cultured eye. Drawing on psychology to understand myself and to understand more broadly.
I won’t mince words: I’ll bring you powerful, provocative content. This time, not just with gut instinct, but with knowledge. It won’t be an academic journey: It will be a creative and artistic process. Which is fought by those who understand both struggle and success.
I chose this path because of the belief that dispelling taboos, removing labels, and challenging dogmas is the key to helping ordinary people who struggle with their own monsters every day. People like us.
We’ll start with the basics of psychology and then tackle topics like addictions, depression, mental illness and everything that can affect the mind. We’ll do it together, seeking strategies to look at these topics, understand them and deal with them.
It won’t be easy. The road will be winding, full of sharp curves and dark tunnels.
I am Anwar and I am a survivor.
And today I bring my life experience here, to help you understand yourselves.
‘Monsters’ exist. Demons and mental illness go together for me.
If you don’t believe that, then keep reading.
They always have weaknesses.
That weakness is your light and strength.
Remember that.
Thank you for reading.
